New pictures have arrived! We have decided to make the albums by the month instead of her age. We thought everyone could figure that part out! It has been a while sine we put new pictures up so there may be a couple that aren't in the right spot!

Wow, its has been quite a while since I last wrote. Our website was malfunctioning for some time so I hope now that it is up and running again that I will get back into the swing of things with it!
Maddie has changed so much over the last few months. She says so many new things now but not on command most of the time. She has learned the sounds of some new animals and has grown into her own little personality. I don't feel like she is a baby anymore. She's a little person already. She is now 18 months old and some would consider that a toddler! I think I will hold off to 2 years before I "go there"!
Our Christmas was wonderful. Jays mom and step dad stayed with is for a few days all the way from Kentucky. It was great having them here and Maddie enjoyed their company so very much. I was afraid and a bit sad that I would not be enough for Maddie when they left, but she was fine and together we have been catching up on some lost sleep. We thank everyone for all our wonderful Christmas gifts. We appreciate it so very much and Maddie has had a blast playing with her new toys, puzzles, and looking at her books. She is a reader, I'm so happy about that!
As for me, I had surgery last week to repair a small hernia and as of now, I m feeling just fine. I had felt dizzy and nauseated everyday since my surgery but I am just assuming and hoping that will pass. I think I have probably done too much lifting, etc because my incision itself has started to hurt. I will go back to the doctor in a week and see how things are going.
Jay and I continue to be amazed my Maddie and are loving watching her grow. This morning I could not help but to laugh...I went to get her out of bed and when I began to pick her up, she ever so kindly handed me her diaper. I guess she decided to change herself??!! It was pretty funny. She also has begun to make her own fashion style. She loves to wear her polka dot hat with anything or naked even, whatever. She puts on her mittens with her pj's and shoes. Some great pictures will be up on the gallery very soon, I hope!
Anyway, I hope all is well with everyone and please keep looking for those new pictures of Maddie. I'm not very good at the whole moving pictures over to the website thing, so Jay will have to do that part.

So, I know it has been a while since we have posted an update to the blog and uploaded photos. I do apologize, I understand you all need you Maddie fix. In a nut shell, my server that has been running this nifty little blog and photo gallery has been dying a slow and miserable death. She (the server's name is Gertrude) finally got to the point that we could no longer add photos in fear of her completely crashing bringing everyone's (that I host) email and websites down.
So why am I writing this today? Well, I am proud to announce that Gertrude, the old hag of a server is no longer. You are now reading this blog and looking at the gallery on a brand new, super-fast server named...uh...not sure yet, but when I figure it out, you all will be the first to know.
