Our first ultrasound

We went to the doctor today for our first ultrasound. I have got to say that it was the coolest thing to see this little guy for the first time. He/She is only about the size of a peanut. They measured from the crown of the head to the base of the rump three times to determine an average age. All three times, it came back the same; 7 weeks, 6 days. The ultrasound nurse (I guess that is what you call the lady that does the ultrasounds) said that she could average that out pretty easily. This makes the due date June 21, 2006. It baffles me how something so small will grow into a little person. Anyway, without further delay....here is the first picture of "Baby Almers".

The round thing on the left is the head and the smaller round thing on the right is the rump. The heart is beating at 160bpm which is right on track. We actually saw the echo of what was supposed to be the heart beat but I couldn't see it. But I guess the lady does this everyday so she must know what she is talking about.
